The 80th edition of the Settimane Musicali di Ascona concluded successfully. More than 4,500 spectators (a 3% increase compared to the previous edition) attended an intense and varied program of fifteen events, confirming the festival as a key institution in the Swiss musical landscape. This edition also marked the farewell of Artistic Director Francesco Piemontesi and Foundation President Francesco Ressiga Vacchini, who will be succeeded by attorney Luca Allidi.
Starting in 2026, the festival will enter a new phase under the artistic direction of Christoph Müller, already at the helm of the Gstaad Menuhin Festival.
