The great Evelyn Glennie was the first person ever to embark on a career as a full-time solo percussionist, and performs all over the world with leading orchestras and artists. She broke new orchestral ground in 1992 when she played the first percussion concerto in the history of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. She has recorded over 40 CDs as a soloist and won around 100 awards, including two Grammy Awards. Her concert on the Ascona lakeside is not to be missed!
